With Christmas and the winter season coming very very soon, it is time to check out some wintery beers that will always keep you nice and warm. Here are 6 of my favorite Christmas beers that are perfect for any cold winter day!

Bell's Christmas Ale: A beautiful malty flavor greets the tongue on your first sip. After the first sip a decent sweetness comes up with a caramel and brown sugar flavor. Dark fruit flavors then come to the taste more toward the middle. While the dark fruit comes to the taste, the sugary tastes dwindling a bit. Some flavors of a smoky nature soon come to the tongue more toward the end and are accompanied by a light spice as well as some bitter citrus. This is a great Christmas beer and is perfect for those days sitting by the fire!

Port Brewing Santa's Little Helper: Flavors of roasted malts, toast, coffee and chocolate with its sweet-acidity/astringency develops building some roast bitterness on the back of the palate. The finish is pleasantly astringent reminiscent of coffee or strong dark chocolate lasting for a long time. This is an extremely well balanced beer and is absolutely delicious!

Southern Tier 2XMAS: Pours a nice red-brown, the spices in this are over the top different. Southern Tier does the strong stuff well, and the specialty stuff too. The flavors and balance are perfectly done. With sweet and some bitterness this brew is the perfect mixture of everything Christmas!

Troegs The Mad Elf Holiday Ale: The combination of Cherries, Honey, and Chocolate Malts delivers gentle fruits and subtle spices. Fermented and aged with a unique yeast , this ruby red beer has significant warming strength that underlies the character of this Ale. This brew has a spectacular taste and will make you feel all warm and wonderful inside. Perfect for those holiday parties and Christmas celebration The Mad Elf Holiday Ale is a special beer.

Great Lakes Brewing Christmas Ale: The aroma is dominated by spices and malty richness: cinnamon and ginger. Taste starts off sweet with a slightly tart impression. Spiciness follows up: cinnamon, ginger and clove. Finishes with a toasty malt note and a mild bitterness. This is a classic winter beer and will warm the body up right away! Perfect for a cold winter day inside.

Sweetwater Festive Ale: Dark pour with a tan head. It has a chocolate and roasty spice. This brew will warm you up with every sip you take. Perfect for those cold winter days, Sweetwater brewing did a great job with this beer and it is perfect for you and your family to enjoy a few of these while at the holiday celebrations!
